Wedding Day Shenanigans in Macon, Georgia

From the "Hey! let's look like we're peeing" to pant dropping, no wedding day would be complete with some Groomsmen shenanigans.

Over the years we have seen our share of tricks and pranks. Though we have had some pretty crazy bridesmaids no group is more notorious than the groomsmen, sorry ladies. Frankly, it is the severity and lengths in which the guys will go at times that sets them a part. As well as, what's was the phrase for the map on Harry Potter.. oh yea "i solemnly swear I am up to no good"-looks that guys give....

Yes, those looks...

Which are a few of the photos from a recent wedding at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Macon, Georgia.

Allow me to stage: The bridal party comes to the front as the bride and groom exchange rings the church is quiet and solemn. Then in the corner of my lens I see the expressions, the smirks and subtle hints that there is something else in the air. As the bride and groom kneel and the prayer begins something else catches my attention...

There it was cleverly written to be right-side up on the groom's shoes. Two words, one per shoe, with an exclamation mark, I assume for emphasis... "HELP ME!"

Now in all fairness to the groomsmen, I had a 200mm lens pointed right at them and I am sure most of the guests never even noticed...

You may have guest that the bride might not have been to overjoyed to discovered that this happened, but it is a unique factor that will set their day a part from another's is easily fixed with a little post processing.

All in all everyone wins. The wedding party has a great story and the bride receives photos from her day that fit the image she had. Future advice to any wedding parties considering such a feat would be, know your audience and make sure you have  photographer that can help "fix" a situation if need be.

Like it never happened...
